About

A Little Tid Bit About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona.  I am the youngest of 5 children and as of November the only one not married.  I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews that I absolutely adore, along with 2 more nieces due in May.  I met my boyfriend our senior year of high school.  We attended our freshman year at Arizona State University together.  He moved back to NC to be with his family and after 9 months of a long distance relationship I followed.  We now both attend  Appalachian State and I love it here!  I am excited to become a teacher.  I hope to obtain a job straight out of undergrad where ever my boyfriend gets accepted to med school and get my masters in either Spanish or Special Education while working.  I chose Elementary Ed. as my major because I have always seen my self as a stay at home mother like my own mom so what better way to prepare myself than to learn about kids!

One fun fact about myself is this last summer me and my boyfriend drove from Boone, N.C. to Chandler, A.Z. in under 32 hours! I was only allowed to use the restroom when we had to fill up the car : )

Portrait Poem

I am a good listener that absolutely adores penguins.

I wonder if I would love living in D.C. as much as I imagine I would

I hear waves crashing and seagulls cawing

I see horses and swaying trees

I want to travel the world and live in another state or country.

I am a good listener that absolutely adores penguins.

I pretend I have a huge house and always pick out home goods for it.

I feel the love of my family

I touch they rays of and warmth of the sun

I worry that I am constantly forgetting assignments

I cry when I think of leaving my loved ones

I am a good listener that absolutely adores penguins

I understand that life can be rough

I say that the light of Christ is my guide

I dream to one day be a mother a raise a wonderful family with my (future) husband

I try to stay organized (but am often unsuccessful)

I hope to impact at least one child’s life while teaching

I am a good listener that absolutely adores penguins

I really enjoyed your acrostic poem. I think it is really interesting to see what other people in the class have written.

I really liked your poem and that is really cool that you made it from her to Arizona in under 32 hours and I know how you feel about the bathroom my dad does the same thing when we go on long trips as a family.

Hey Diana! I really enjoyed getting to know a little bit about you! I don’t know how you made it that long in the car without making a rest stop. I usually have to go every 45 mins!! Great picture and I really liked your poem! :)

I love your portrait poem. It really says a lot about you and the line about the waves crashing and seagulls cawing makes me want to be at the beach and out of this Boone weather! And I think it would be so cool to live in another country but I’m not sure how long I’d be able to do that for.

I really enjoyed reading your about me page. I feel that you really put yourself into your poems, they were both very good. I also like to shop for homegoods for the big house that I do not have; its just so entertaining. Oh and props for making it to AZ in 32 hours, way to go!

I don’t think that I’ve ever met anyone who truly adores penguins, that being said i found your poem to be a fun read.
